The short version
This site doesn’t run ad trackers and doesn’t sell or share data. It sends basic visit data to Google Analytics to understand which notes get read, using a small script I wrote myself rather than Google’s own tracking snippet, which sets a first-party identifier to distinguish visits. Emailing me through a link on this site goes straight to my inbox — nothing is stored here.
What’s actually collected
Analytics. This site reports aggregate traffic to Google Analytics (GA4) — which pages get read, roughly where visitors come from — using a small first-party script instead of Google’s own tracking library. It stores a randomly generated identifier in your browser to distinguish visits. I haven’t linked this to Google Ads or any advertising product, so it isn’t used to build ad profiles or follow you to other sites. If you’d rather not be counted, most ad-blockers and browser tracking-protection settings block requests to Google Analytics by default.
Hosting logs. Like any site on the web, requests to this domain pass through my host, Cloudflare, which processes standard connection metadata (like IP address) transiently for security and performance. I don’t receive or store this myself; it’s covered by Cloudflare’s own privacy policy.
Fonts. The typeface on this site is self-hosted — it ships from this domain, not from Google Fonts or any third-party font service. No separate request to an external font provider happens when you visit.
Contact links. The email links on this site open your own email client via a mailto: link. Nothing you type is transmitted to or stored by this site — it only exists once it lands in your outbox.
What I don’t do
No advertising or retargeting pixels. No cross-site tracking. No selling or sharing data, because there isn’t any to sell beyond aggregate traffic counts.

Changes
Like the field notes, this page is revised in place when it needs to change, not archived. The date at the top is the last revision.
